What are your age conditions?

Over 21 and under 70 for all the vans and over 25 under 70 for the 7.5 tonnes lorries

What licences do you except?

We only accept a full UK driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year. If you have the new style licence which has two parts, paper and photo ID card, the photo ID card must be valid.

Do I need the ‘counter part’ of my Driving Licence?

Yes or there will be a £5 charge for phoning the DVLA premium rate number.

What ‘ID’ do I require to hire a vehicle?

A Utility Bill (no older than 90 days), a Debit or Credit Card and your own Driving Licence. If you have the new photo type of Driving licence, you must bring in both parts of the licence.

What is your hire day?

Our one day hire period is collection from 7am one day to 7am the following day although 8am returns can usually be arrange but this can only be agreed on the day of collection.

Do I have to return the vehicle during working hours?

No you don’t we have a 24 hour key drop facility so a vehicle can be return any time.

Can I hire a vehicle for a single day over the weekend?

Yes, all of our vehicles can be hired for a single day, 7 days a week including Saturday or Sunday.

Do you have a weekend rate?

No, as we are open Saturday and Sunday we do not offer a ‘weekend rate’.

What entitlement do I need to drive a 7.5ton Lorry?

You should have Category C1 on your Driving Licence. An Operators Licence is required for business use. This is not required for private rental.

What happens if I have points on my licence?

If you have no more than 6 points then you are still ok to hire but if you have more than 6 points or have been disqualified at any point then please call us 01923 245354 before booking.

What payments do you accept?

We accept payment by Debit Card or Credit Card only - all major credit cards excepted, except American Express. Payment must be made in full before commencement of hire.

What happens if the hire vehicle I have rented breaks down?

In the unlikely event of breakdown the hirer is asked to contact a Roadside Breakdown Service (AA/RAC) – who will assist you.

Do I have to supply the fuel?

Yes, our fuel policy is empty to empty so the hirer is responsible for putting in their own fuel. Don't worry there is always a enough fuel to get you on your way and we are located right by a petrol station.

Can I extend the hire?

Yes, hirers must inform us (01923 245354), if they wish to retain a vehicle beyond the agreed time or date of return. Failure to do so may result in the hirer driving without insurance.

Can I have an additional driver?

Yes you can, but we will need to see them and their Driving Licence before they drive the vehicle - there will be a £5 daily charge or £20 a week for this service.
